[DIS]ORDER – The Disruption
Distorted vocals, radical texts, genre-fluid sound. Beyond norm. Beyond pace. Beyond control. Movement as release.
Featuring Stefan ZMK & Nadîja Roza
HipSick transforms [DIS]ORDER from an immersive installation into a physical, collective experience. What once lived inside the exhibition space now moves onto the floor, through sound, rhythm, voice, visuals and bodies in motion.
Rooted in the theme of neurodiversity, HipSick questions the social pressure to function, adapt, and conform within systems built around speed, efficiency, and control. What happens when sensitivity, overload, intensity, or alternative ways of processing the world are not suppressed but embodied?
Driven by a genre-fluid, multi-tempo sound, ranging from leftfield technoid beats, melancholic experimental soundscapes to hybrid rave tekno, [DIS]ORDER – The Disruption shifts between listening, movement, and release. Live distorted vocals and radical texts from the original work reflect on the tension between the individual and the systems we move within.
Known for its raw, experimental style, Rotterdam-based interdisciplinary crew HipSick plays with the audience’s perception through performances, installations, and audiovisual experiments. HipSick explores the influence of social norms, the shaping of identity, and the limits of the human body. Always unconventional, direct, and in motion.
